الملخص: | The purposes of this research were 1) to synthesis professional teachers’ characteristics at the international level; 2) to study the reality and desirable conditions of professional teachers at Elementary level in Bangkok. The Sample were from 4 educational agencies i.e. Office of the Basic Education Commission, Office of the Private Education Commission, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and Office of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. Overall sample was 389 which derived from stratified random sampling. 12 elementary school teachers from the questionaire and 6 teachers awarded the Princess Maha Chakri were interviewed. Research instrument consisted of semi-structured interviews and questionnaires. The research data were analyzed by descriptive analysis such as percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The interview data were used by content analysis. The research results were as follows 1) the synthesis professional teachers’ characteristics at the international level from theories and related documents. 5 aspects from the reviewing of all documents consisted of behavior, working with others, Intelligence, flair, attitude, and expertise. 2) The study of the reality and desirable conditions of professional teachers at Elementary level in Bangkok classified by different agencies, it was found that the majority of elementary school teachers overall provided the highest score on behavior (x̄ = 4.84, S.D. = 0.12). About the problems, the teachers’ performance check should be assessed from the real work situations. or the real context to reflect the professional characteristics of primary school teachers. |
