Iodomethyl phenyl sulfoxide: reactivity and synthetic applications
Lithio iodomethyl phenyl sulfoxides reacted with alkyl halides and carbonyl compounds to give adducts in good to moderate yields. Solvolysis of the carbonyl adducts led to sulfones or the ring expanded product. © 1984.
