Dichloromethyl phenyl sulfoxide: synthetic applications
Lithio dichloromethyl phenylsulfoxide reacts with aldehydes and alkyl halides to give the corresponding addition and alkylated products respectively. Pyrolysis of these compounds result in the formation of dichloroketones and terminal vinyl dichlorides. © 1983.
