th-cuir.46842008-02-25T09:02:53Z การเตรียมถ่านกัมมันต์จากไม้ยูคาลิปตัส Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh โดยการกระตุ้นด้วยแก๊สคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์และไอน้ำร้อนยวดยิ่ง Preparation of activated carbon from Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh. by activation with carbon dioxide and superheated steam วิจิตร จินดาพันธ์ไพโรจน์ ธราพงษ์ วิทิตศานต์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย. คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ คาร์บอนกัมมันต์ ยูคาลิปตัส วิทยานิพนธ์ (วท.ม.)--จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย, 2543 งานวิจัยนี้เป็นการผลิตถ่านกัมมันต์จากไม้ยูคาลิปตัส Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh. ด้วยวิธีการกระตุ้นทางกายภาพ โดยนำส่วนที่เป็นกิ่งซึ่งเป็นเศษเหลือทิ้งมาใช้ การศึกษาในงานวิจัยนี้ ทำการเปรียบเทียบคุณภาพของถ่านกัมมันต์จากไม้ยูคาลิปตัส อายุ 4 ปี และอายุ 5 ปี ซึ่งในขั้นตอนแรก เป็นขั้นตอนการคาร์บอไนซ์ ศึกษาถึงผลของอุณหภูมิและเวลา พบว่า ภาวะที่เหมาะสมในการคาร์บอไนซ์ของไม้ทั้งสองชนิด อยู่ที่ภาวะเดียวกัน คือ ที่อุณหภูมิ 450 องศาเซลเซียส เวลา 45 นาที ขั้นตอนที่สองเป็นการกระตุ้นถ่านชาร์ โดยศึกษาถึงผลของอุณหภูมิ เวลา ขนาดอนุภาค และชนิดของแก๊สในการกระตุ้น ภาวะที่เหมาะสมในการกระตุ้นของถ่านชาร์จากไม้ยูคาลิปตัส อายุ 4 ปี และอายุ 5 ปี อยู่ที่สภาวะเดียวกัน คือ ที่อุณหภูมิ 900 องศาเซลเซียส เป็นเวลา 150 นาที ขนาดอนุภาค 0.3-0.6 มิลลิเมตร และใช้ไอน้ำเป็นสารกระตุ้น สมบัติของถ่านกัมมันต์ที่ได้คือ ค่าความหนาแน่นเชิงปริมาตร 0.1809 กรัมต่อลูกบาศก์เซนติเมตร ร้อยละปริมาณเถ้า 6.37 ร้อยละผลิตภัณฑ์ 33.14 ค่าการดูดซับไอโอดีน 1233 มิลลิกรัมต่อกรัม ค่าการดูดซับเมทิลีนบลู 242 มิลลิกรัมต่อกรัมพื้นที่ผิวแบบแลงเมียร์ (S Langmuir) 1497.32 ตารางเมตรต่อกรัม พื้นที่ผิวแบบบีอีที (S BET) 1076.15 ตารางเมตรต่อกรัม พบว่าจากค่าวิเคราะห์ สมบัติของถ่านกัมมันต์ที่ได้จากงานวิจัยนี้มีค่าใกล้เคียงกับถ่านกัมมันต์เกรดการค้า ดังนั้น ผลของงานวิจัยนี้จึงสามารถใช้เป็นแนวทางในการผลิตถ่านกัมมันต์จากไม้ยูคาลิปตัสได้ This research was production of activated carbon from Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh. wood by physical activation. The four and five years of wood were used as raw material. The experiment was composed of two steps : the first step was carbonization. The studied variables were temperature and time. The optimum condition was found to be 450 ํC and 45 min. The second step was activation. The investigated variables were effect of temperature, time, particle size and activating agents. The results showed that the optimum condition was 0.3-0.6 mm. of wood at 900 ํC for 150 min. using steam as an activating agent. The characteristics prepared activated carbon was bulk density 0.1809 g/cm3, ash content 6.37%, yield 33.14%, iodine adsorption 1233 mg/g, methylene blue adsorption number 242 mg/g, Langmuir surface area 1497.52 m2/g and BET surface area 1076.15 m2/g. Both of four and five years of wood had the same carbonization and activation optimum-condition. The characteristics of resulting activated carbon closed to the commercial activated carbon.
