This study examines the extent to which the internationalisation process of the legal firms is guided by the international model. Specifically, our three main objectives are: • The more international operations experience a law firm has, the more committed(i.e. expansion to more markets) it is in its foreign investment. • The bigger a law firm is (i.e. number of lawyers), the more committed it is in its foreign investments. • Law firms portray client-following characteristics when embarking on international plans.
