الملخص: | The aim of this study is to obtain geological conditions and characteristics of the
geochemistry mineralization and physico-chemical conditions for the formation of
base metal deposit with reference to analysis of the thin section, polish section,
chemical analysis consist of x-ray diffraction, fluorescence of X rays and fluid
inclusions. Study area is located in the Boungbaru village, Sesayap Hilir district,
Tanah Tidung regency, East Kalimantan province in license of mineral exploration of
the PT. Buana Galasi.
Topography in the study area are form undulating and hilly undulating morphology.
Result of petrography analysis showed the basic rocks consist of silisified andesite
and breccias, these can be grouped into three rocks unit based on their megascopic
physical appearance, (1) Tuff units, (2) Andesite unit and (3) Dacite unit. In the
study area there are very intensive join structure and spread evenly so that the
prospects for medium-metallic mineral mineralization
Hydrothermal alteration can be grouped into three zones, from the inside to outside
include: (1) silica ± clay (advanced argillic), (2) argillic and (3) propylitic.
Characteristics of base metal deposits are mineralization, hydrothermal alteration,
texture / structure of the quartz veins also physical-chemical properties of the
precipitate formed. Field observations and hand specimens samples showed the
quartz veins and silisified rocks containing sulfide minerals which are dominated by
pyrite (FeS2), chalcopyrite (CuFeS2), galena (PbS) and spalerite (Zn,Fe)S that act as
a source of zink (Zn). The results of geochemical analysis from the company also
support the exitence of anomalous elements Au, Ag, Cu, Pb, and Zn. Results of
geochemical analysis by surface geological data in the study site and the data of
petrographic analysis, fluid inclusion and geochemical data based on samples of
mineral vein / rock, it can be concluded that the base metal deposits in temperature of
210-300 ° C. |
