| الملخص: | Vision and mission of natural resources conservation in Indonesia should be
established as a frame work which is useful to achieve goals of management. Biodiversity
of Indonesia is very considerable either in species or ecosystem levels and should be
managed wisely to .meet peOple needs in the present time as well as in the. future. The
present natural resources management relies on the three laws, namely, Undang-undang
Republik Indonesia No. 41 1999 concerning the main regulations of forestry, Undangundang
Repub/ik Indonesia No. 23 1997 concerning the main regulations of environment
management, and Undang-undong Repub/ik Indonesia No.. 5 1990 concerning conservation
ofbionatural resources and their ecosystems, which have not been an integrated unit. Scope
of .conservation should include management of protected. areas and others including
production forests and people properties. Genetic improvement and economic would playa
key role in conservation. The term management of conservation business seems more
appropriate than management of conservation. |
