الملخص: | Penelitian tentang distribusi ukuran agregat dan dispersitas agregat tanall lapis olah sebagai akibat proses pembasahan dan pelarutan selektif telah dilakukan di laboratorium Fisika Tanah Fakultas Pertanian UGM. !Hasa Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembasahan berpengaruh terhadap penyebaran (distribusi) ukuran agregat maupun dispersitas agregat. Pembasahan cepat menghasilkan agregat berukuran kecil lebih banyak dibanding pembasahan lambat dan pembasahan alkohol. Distribusi agregat di atas 2 mm untuk Vertisol, Alfisol dan Inceptisol berturutturut 73.36%, 71.47% dan 55.84%. Dispersitaas agregat berukuran kurang dari 100 gm Vertisol paling tinggi diikuti oleh Alfisol dan Inceptisol dengan nilai berturut-turut 14.67%, 12.76% dan 11.66%. Pelarutan selektif menghasilkan agregat berukuran < 100 gm berkisar antara 80-90%.
The objective of this research was to study the aggregate size distribution and aggregate dispersion of top soil as affected by prewetting and selective dissolution. The results showed that aggregate size distribution and aggregate dispersity were affected by prewetting and selective dissolution. Rapid wetting resulted in more amount in the small aggregate than slow wetting and alcohol wetting treatment. The aggregate size distribution up to 2.0 mm of Vertisols were 73.36%, Inceptisols were 71.47% and Alfisols were 55.84%. The natural dispersion of aggregate less than 100 p.m by slow wetting and alcohol wetting of Vertisols were 14.67% and 14.60%, Alfisols were 12.76% and 10.86% and Inceptisols were 11.66% and 10.38%, respectively. The selective dissolution treatments resulted about 80-90% particles less than 100 gm.
