الملخص:Research on the determinant of organization structure has been dominated by using traditional determinant (size, technology, complexity, and environmental uncertainty). Consequently, contribution of using traditional determinant has limited (Bassett & Carr,1996). Focusing on psychological determinant of organization structure, this research examines the influence of leader's need for achievement and internal locus of control on dimensions of organization structure (centralization, formalization, and integration). Data were collected from 56 leaders of best small-medium enterprises in Indonesia, according to Accenture. Hierarchical regression analysis were used to test hypothesis. In general, result supported that personality of leaders influenced organization structure. Need for achievement negatively influenced centralization, and positively influenced integration. Internal locus of control positively influenced formalization. Nevertheless, this research cannot identify the influencing of interaction of traditional determinant (size) and psychological determinant (need for achievement and internal locus of control). By emphasizing the role of leader's personality on organization structure, this research suggests practical implementations for both practitioners and researcher.
