The purpose of this study was determine the shear and tensile bond strength of ceramic bracket bonded with self etching primer and resin composite etchant light cured and evaluate location of bond failure. Sixty extracted maxillary first premolars were selected as subjects of the study. They were divided into four groups. Group I and Ill were bonded with self etching primer, group II and IV were etched and bonded with resin composite etchant, Each group was measured the shear and tensile bond strength after 24 hours of aplication. The shear and tensile bond strength were measured with Pearson Pankee Equipment Ltd, and bond failure location were observed with Zoom Stereo Microscope. t � test was used to determine the comparison of the shear and tensile bond strength of ceramic bracket bonded, where as Chi Square analysis was used to determine the bond failure location.
