The direct factors affecting a child's nutritional status are nutritional intake and infection. On factor affecting nutritional intake is childcare by mother, includes mother's way to feed, mother's way to take care of, keep mother's and child's hygiene and how to care. This study to find out the relationship between childcare and nutritional intake and and nutritional status of infant aged 6-24 months. This was an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The samples were infant aged 6-24 months, gathered through simple random sampling technique. The data of childcare was gathered through questionnaires and in-depth interview, and then analyzed by giving scores for each item. Data of nutritional intake were obtained through 24-hour recall forms, which then analyzed using computer and FP2 software. Data of nutritional status were decided from weight/age indicators and then analyzed by finding out the score_Z weight/age. Data analysis was done using Spearman rank correlation test through SPSS Version 10. The result showed that food management did not significantly correlate with infant's nutritional intake. Good childcare did not guarantee the good nutritional intake. The nutritional intake had significant relationship with nutritional status. The better the nutritional status, the better the infants' nutritional status. Childcare had significant relationship with nutritional status. The better the childcare and the nutritional status, the better the nutritional status of the child. It was concluded that the good food management was not guarantee infants' nutritional intake. However, the better the nutritional intake, the better nutritional status and the better the childcare practiced by mothers and the better infants' nutritional status.
