Summary:ABSTRACT Indirect height determination of the objects can be done by measuring their shadows or their parallax differences. The length of the shadows and the parallaxes were measured. And also the terrestrial measurement of the object heights were executed The samples of this research were taken in UGM Campus area. The heights (indirect methods) then were compared to the heights of the terrestrial measurement. Determine the height differences and their mean values. The result of the mean value to the shadow method : - 0,343 m and 4,33%, and the parallax method : - 0,211 m and 3,30%. The conclusion of this comparison in this case is that the accuracy of the parallax measurement is higher than that of the shadow measurement.
