Telecommunications has become a basic needs by people around the world. In
Indonesia telecommunication business is very promising. At least around 230
million Indonesian has been using mobile phones. On the other hand the
development of mobile technology continues to evolve. Pioneered the first
generation of mobile technology (1G) known as AMPS (Advanced Mobile Phone
System) cellular technology in 1984 now has reached the fourth generation (4G).
Rapid development of technology, of course, needs engineers who are
professional and deep understanding in technological advances is also very
necessary.
PT Floatway Systems is a company engaged in the training services that
segmented for telecommuniction engineer. PT Floatway Systems was established
June 17, 2010 in Bekasi based on notarial deed No. 39. - By notary Hj . Tuti
Alawiyah, SH office located in Naga Self Block A 2 Jl. Sultan Agung Raya KM.
27 Medan Satria, Bekasi. PT. Floatway Systems was founded in June 2010 by
four founders who have the same background from Electrical Engineering. Since
September 2010 until April 2013 Month PT Floatway Systems has conducted 30
training and graduated 308 engineers in mobile telecommunications.
Based on some of the data obtained from observation, interviews,
documentation of activities and financial statements for two years, there are
opportunities to develop new business model.
PT Floatway Systems business model was analyzed using the framework
of the business model developed by Osterwalder & Pigneur (2010) consists of
nine building blocks. Development of business models in training service can be
centered from customer value proposition and customer segmentation that affects
other building blocks of the business model. Some value added such as payment
of public training facilitated by providing credit facilities, providing lodging
information for trainees who come from Jakarta area. And also PT Floatway
Systems provide services that were previously only training course will be
developed into a certified training that gained recognition both from vendors or
telecom operators. Floatway will also provide On Job Training, so that public
training participants, especially those from freshgraduate will gain direct
experience after the training. Development of new business models centered on
the customer segment is also a business development plan of PT Floatway
Systems. New customers targeted are gas and petroleum engineering and
entrepreneurship fields. |
