The aim this study to analyze the economic potential of the port of Tengkayu I Kota Tarakan and sharing fairness to local goverment. The operations of Tengkayu I Kota Tarakan from 2012 until 2017 operated by Perusda (owned by local govermance). Previous period of years 2005-2011 is operated by CV. Camfilo. Net income after tax Tengkayu I in 2012 and 2013 respectively Rp2.120.616.000, - and Rp2.612.534.000, -. Tarakan City Government Revenue derived from the results of the very small. 2012 and 2013, respectively Rp407.623.000, - and Rp609.600.000, - or 19.22 percent and 23.33 percent or 21.28 percent average.Previous period is also in a similar condition, namely the 2005-2011 average of Tarakan City Government revenues for this result is only reached 24.51 percent to 33.88 percent or 28.88 percent average.
