Summary:This study aims to determine the contribution of social self-efficacy and social competence to subjective well-being of early adolescents. The research was conducted at one of the junior high schools in the city of Makassar with the number of 110 students of class VII and VIII. Technique of data collection in this study used a questionnaire scale and the technique of data analysis was regression analysis. The results showed that, social self-efficacy and social competence are jointly able to play role by 52% in contributing to subjective wellbeing of adolescents. Social self-efficacy has effective contribution of 47,5% to the subjective well-being whilst social competence has effective contribution by 4,5%.
