Summary: | Merapi is an active mountain located in Yogyakarta, the activities have an
impact on the surrounding environment, such as forest fires so that the formation of
open land. Commonly, shurbs, herbs and grasses can grow well at that location.
Therefore, this study aims to determine the species of seed plants to compose
understory and the abundance that grow in the area of restoration Ngablak, Magelang,
Central Java, and to know the physicochemical factors that affect the abundance of the
species. The research conducted by random sampling, using plot 10x10 m2 and for
herbs and grasses use 0,5 x 0,5 m2. Samples of each species were made herbarium.
The result of study showed that in area restoration of Ngablak, Magelang, Central
Java found 53 species from 16 families of seed plants. The dominant species was
determined based on important value over than 10. In the restoration area Ngablak the
dominant species are Cymbopogoncitratus (important value of 18.98), Mimosa pudica
(18,42), Gomphrena serrata (15.44), Pennissetum purpureum (14.86). While species
that have a high frequency in these locations is Eupatorium odoratum (Frequency
value 6,88), Mimosa pudica (6,52), Cymbopogon citratus (5,43), Pennisetum
purpureum(4,71), Hyptis pectinata (4,71). Physicochemical factors that influence the
abundance of species is humidity and pH of soil. |
