Description
Summary:At the end of 2007, great flood occurred in Bengawan Solo watershed. The flood was caused by the hydro-climatological factors, i.e. rains that were large and evenly distributed in the boundary of central and upstream areas (Fakultas Teknik, UGM, 2008). One of the largest contributors to the discharge of flood is from the tributaries of Bengawan Solo river on reach of Colo Weir - Surakarta Municipality (Gunawan, 2009). A flood routing simulation software is necessary to predict the magnitude of lateral inflow from each of the tributaries due to the rains occurred in Bengawan Solo watershed between Colo Weir and Surakarta Municipality in a real-time manner. The making of the software was performed by using VB.Net programming with compiler of Microsoft Visual Studio 2012. The simulation process implanted in the program was the transformation of rains into flows and the flood routing model for the areas of Bengawan Solo River on reach of Colo Weir - Jurug, Surakarta. The structure of the program was configured with hydrologic stations managed by the Public Company of Jasa Tirta I based in the upstream areas of Bengawan Solo watershed. The input of the program are rainfall intensity recorded in a real-time manner. Simulation result using the program that has been compiled indicating that peak discharge difference between February 28, 2012 flood events simulation results and the discharge measured in AWLR Jurug by 1.06% with the same time to peak. Meanwhile, the simulation of flood events January 7, 2012 there are differences in peak discharge simulation result using the program with peak discharge simulation result using HEC-HMS in AWLR Jurug at 5.93% with 1-hour time to peak difference.
