Casuarina equisetifolia is one of the plants used for rehabilitation and planted in the coast. The existence of an evergreen plant location in Goa Cemara beach weed growth followed a climber who can shut down the plant canopy. The purpose of this research is 1) identify the types of weeds climbers, 2) evaluate the abundance and intensity of weeds climbers and 3) evaluate the intensity of the presence of weeds tendency climber on tree shaded conditions and open the C. equisetifolia stands growing on the edge of the beach. This research conducted in May and July 2013 in the vicinity of the planting C. equisetifolia at Goa Cemara beach, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Data were collected by survey method on young age and old plants by making plots each 2 plots at each age with the size of 20m x 20m plots. In every field plots where weeds were observed scores climbers with a score of 0 (healthy), 1 (mild), 2 (moderate), and 3 (severe). Wide spread indicates the number of plants infested with weeds and the intensity of the presence of weeds climber climber is calculated based on the scores of each plant in the plot. Data were analyzed using trend analysis is used to identify trends and increase the spread of weeds where climbers. Based on research, the type of weed climber found is Passiflora foetida. Wide distribution (LS) and the intensity of weed climber (IP) on C. equisetifolia planted in the shores of Goa Cemara, shows greater value in the location of old age (LS=83.3%, IP=57.41%) compared to age young (LS=46.8%, IP=26.67%). The relationship between the amount of C. equisetifolia plant with exposure young age and old age open or shaded conditions where weeds climbers with a score indicating the value being (R2=0,57-0,68) and the young plants shaded conditions showed a high value (R2=0,85).
