The use of antiretroviral (ARV) in positive HIV test result patients was an attempt to prolong the life expectancy of People Live with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Incompliance of ARV Therapy can caused ARV resistance that PLWHA should move to second line antiretroviral therapy, where adherence is the most important thing because there isn�t third line antiretroviral therapy in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the compliance of patient with HIV/AIDS winth second line antiretroviral therapy in DIY province and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors of adherence to the use of second line antiretroviral therapy. This study was qualitative study. Data were collected through interview with respondents in DIY province. The central theme of this study included demographic data of respondents, respondent�s knowledge, patient�s medical history, patient�s compliance, factors that affected patient�s compliance, and the influence of LSM Victory Plus assistance. Interview data were analyzed by Health Belief Model. The result of his study was known that five patients compliance to the therapy and two other patients incompliance to the second line antiretroviral therapy. Supporting factors of patients compliance included patient�s knowledge oabout HIV/AIDS, improved health condition after traetment, family, health workers, and environtment support, and commintment to undergo the treatment. Inhibiting factors of patient�s compliance included barriers (physical form and side effect of drug), stigma from society, and patients who do not feel the severity of their health conditions.
