| الملخص: | Background: Schizophrenia is persistent and serious brain disease that results in
psychotic behavior, concrete thought, and difficulty in processing information,
interperconal relationship and problem solving. Social disorder may cause
discomfort and severe social isolation. Group music therapy is a method used to
improve interpersonal relationship in schizophrenic patients. Music therapy
greatly helps in improving motivation, provision of opportunity to express
emotion and a medium for social interaction.
Objective: To find out effect of group music therapy to social interaction of
schizophrenic patients at Grhasia Hospital Yogyakarta.
Method: The study was a quasi experiment with non equivalent control group
design. It was undertaken at Grhasia Hospital Yogyakarta in October 2013 -
January 2013. Samples consisted of 49 respondents |
