Soewarno Hasanbahri, MS ETD In 2010 occurred the eruption of Mount Merapi disaster. After the devastating 2010 eruption has destroyed most of the slopes of Merapi. The disaster caused a bit much reduced biodiversity in the region. In undisturbed ecosystems will occur succession to restore the vegetation composition as before Acacia decurrens is the dominant species in succession at Merapi. This study aims to determine the composition of woody plant species, population density, spatial distribution patterns, as well as the diversity index constituent plant species composition of vegetation in the path of Acacia decurrens, after the eruption of Merapi in 2010. Primary data was collected in the location of research, namely the Ground and pure-bred lines. on each lane measuring plots were made using the least squares method (quadrate methods) with a distance of 100 m between plots. Initial plot created by purposive, determination of sample plots used squared is 10 m x 10 m at the poles. The study found that the path of the Ground There are 5 types of plants Saga, Rasamala, Puspa, Guava, and Leucaena, population density ranges from 2- 1943 individuals/ha where 1554 people/ha dominated by Acacia decurrens , is the spatial distribution pattern of 3 types plants have clumped spatial distribution patterns ( Saga, Puspa, and Rasamala ), 1 species of plants have a uniform spatial distribution pattern ( Guava ) and 1 type of plant has a random spatial distribution patterns ( Leucaena ), as well as the diversity index ( ISW ) 0,042984856 ( low diversity ). In the two pure-bred lines known that there are 8 types of plants Saga, Leucaena, Puspa, Kaliandra, pine, guava , jackfruit , and Waru mountain while the population density ranges from 2-1342 individuals/ha where 1073 people/ha dominated by Acacia decurrens, the distribution pattern spatial are 5 types of plants have clumped spatial distribution patterns (Saga, Leucaena, Puspa, Kaliandra, and Pine ), 3 types of plants have random spatial distribution pattern (Guava, Jackfruit, and Waru Mount ), as well as the diversity index ( ISW ) 0,125908892 ( low diversity).
