Summary: | Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is a commodity that is potentially
contaminated by mycotoxin stem from various fungi. In this syudy, the
groundnuts supply chain was analyzed, taking two sample from its farming area
as located in Pundong, Bantul, Yogyakarta Province and Pakis Aji, Jepara,
Central Java Province. The emergence of mycotoxin along its supply chain is
identified in order to determine the supply chain performance indicator, and to
develop new risk parameters as an effort to reduce negative effects of mycotoxin.
Risk analysis is based on ISO 31000 standard using data of risk owner in the
groundnuts supply chain. Data and information were collected through
convenient sampling method with in-depth interview from respondents. The
results showed that mycotoxin could be identified in farmers level, collectors, and
traders. Parameters which are classified as avoid risk in farmers level is pest
infections and injuries during harvesting process. Subsequently, risk parameters in
the collectors and traders are drying lead time, sortation, and storage condition.
Improvement of harvesting techniques and post-harvest handling is needed to
reduce the negative impact of mycotoxin. From the verification by the expert
concluded that 24 items of new supply chain parameters were necessary to reduce
negative effects, and there are 18 parameters that have not been used.
Transportation between supply chain tiers, order lead time and processing time
can enrich the actual risk parameters. This study concluded that the combination
of actual and development of supply chain indicators could influence preventive
measures to reduce the negative effects of mycotoxin of groundnut. |
