總結:Marine tourism is a leading tourism product of Bangka Regency, Bangka Island, Bangka Belitung Province. However, the emergence of a negative image because of environmental degradation and destruction of marine ecosystems as a result of tin mining activities are sustained, as well as the lack of diversity of attractions on marine tourism causes the decrease in tourist arrivals in Bangka Regency. Beyond that, there is a planning concept of public space called Placemaking that emphasizes the creation of social life in the public space, with four main key which are access and linkages, comfort and image, uses and activities, and sociability. The purpose of this study is to identify the potential and quality of Bangka Regency marine tourism product that integrated with tourism potential of conservation located in The Breeding Center of Turtle Hatchlings Babel. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The data used is taken by observation, questionnaires and interviews, then analyzed through a sustainable approach to Placemaking. The results showed that a negative perception of travelers on the image of marine tourism is caused by a tourist attractionâs condition which is filthy and polluted, thus disturbing the comfort of traveling. Furthermore, The Breeding Center of Turtle Hatchlings Babel which is the only semi-natural turtle conservation center in Bangka Regency, has the potential to be developed as a new tourism product that is able to provide a different experience for tourists. Then, based on the analysis of Sustainable Placemaking approach, the factors that need to be developed in Bangka marine tourism are comfort and image variables, while The Breeding Center of Turtle Hatchlings Babel are access and linkages variables.
