總結: | Teak (Tectona grandis L.f) is slow growing species which has high
economic value and benefited. Tree improvement program such as progeny test is
needed in order to gain faster growth with high economic value. The research
aims to obtain the trends of growth and genetic diversity of progeny test until six
years, and to obtain genetic gain at six years.
The research was conducted in KHDTK Playen, Gunung Kidul,
Yogyakarta. The research was designed by Randomized Complete Block Design
(RCBD) with 120 families, 6 replicates, 3 line tree plots and spacing 6 x 2 meters.
Observation was taken by measuring tree height and diameter at breast height
(dbh).
Results showed that individual (h2
i) and famili (h2
f) heritabilities of height
ranged between 0,024 0,222 and 0,073 0,330 with the decreasing trends, while
diameters ranged between 0,065 0,207 and 0,124 0,333 with the increasing
trends. Genetic correlations among characters disposed constantly, i.e 0,91 1,18
(over estimate) and juvenile-mature correlations ranged 0,55 0,97 for height and
0,56 0,98 for diameter. Genetic gain on 10% |
