الملخص: | Background : Medical record is a part of the hospital and a record that contains document about patientâ��s identity and treatment that given to patient. To obtain and manage medical record that have a good quality, medical record staff that have competency and skill was required. Perceptions of medical record staff about job training related to performance improvement need to be known because to consider issues related to the suitability and effectiveness of the job training from the medical record staff. Also, it can be used to help decision making about human resources planning and management personnel.
Objective : This study aimed to know perceptions of medical record staff about job training related to medical record staff's performance improvement in Sardjito Hospital Yogyakarta.
Method : This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach and data collection are cross-sectional.
Results : Based on the research, it can be concluded that the reason of the implementation of job training for medical records staff at Sardjito Hospital Yogyakarta is performance improvement and human resources development. However, realization of the training plan can not be implemented fully. Job training obtained by medical record staff is different, both in terms of training materials, training duration, the form of training, and training providers. There are officers who have not received specific training to the work unit. In general, officers perceive that performance improved after training. The performance improvement is the performance of the individual (personal) and the increase of personnel skills or ability to do the job (performance). However, there are staff that feel that the job training has not been quite helpful in giving solutions to their job, because the training is too general and not all that is obtained from job training can be applied in the work unit of medical record. Job training required by medical records staff are job training that support needs or performance, suitable with the work unit, and be held internally by hospital. There is a staff that feel in his work unit does not require training, because the staff understand enough about medical record refer to Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs). |
