Along with his sado-masochistic fantasy, he tries to find the way for his acceptance of his homosexuality. The study focuses on the main character in the novel in relation with his homosexuality concealment and its impact to his personality development. The intrinsic approach is used to analyze the intrinsic elements of the novel, namely character and setting, as the starting point, in order to give a deeper understanding of the story.
