The aim of this research is to propose a potential location for landfill by analyzing environmental geology aspects. The environmental geology aspects include permeability, susceptibility to landslide, earthquake hazard, slope, distance to faults, springs, rivers and reservoirs, and settlements. Using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), the potential landfill site are to be analyzed based on the benchmark mentioned above to produce a suitability map that divided into five zones, including constraint (0), very low (0–0.1212), low (0.1212–0.2423), moderate (0.2423–0.3635), and high (0.3635–0.4846) suitability zone. Based on the study conducted, it is concluded that there are 16 high suitability zones situated at the research area, where location FX, located at the eastern part of the research area, is regarded to be the best location for the landfill site. Location FX has an area of ±8.35 hectares, low permeability, low to moderate susceptibility to landslide, high earthquake hazard, the slope is 0 to 20% (dominantly 16 to 20%), the distance from the nearest fault is 1.1 kilometers, spring is around 1.4 kilometers, river and reservoir is 260 meters, settlement is 300 meters. text |
