Description
Summary:It’s not uncommon to find multilayer reservoir in oil and gas fields. In optimizing the production of multilayer reservoirs, commingle production from one well become one of the choices. Characteristic of reservoir’s rock and fluid for each different layers will have an effect, especially when produced commingle. More and more research in commingle production for multilayer reservoir has been carried out. Inflow Performance Relationship (IPR) is a curve that describes production at a time. Production profile of a commingled well can be depicted from the yield of IPR curve. The formation of IPR curve, especially in gas wells will be influenced by the tendency of gas turbulence that occurs when produced at certain time period. Forchheimer sparked the idea of turbulence effect that occurs, especially at gas wells when produced. This causes interference in term of pressure from reservoir into the well. Reservoir rock characteristic is one of the aspects that can affect the turbulence that occurs when producing gas wells. In this study, analysis of IPR curve when produced cominggle from one well with effect of different rock characteristics on multilayer dry gas reservoir, and taking into account the effects of turbulence that occurred in each layer and also other variabel that could affect it.
