Summary:The purposes of this research were firstly to study the knowledge level of vehicle accident victims on the Protection for Motor Vehicle Accident Act B.E. 2535 secondly to investigate the relationship on demographic, scio-economic factors the knowledge level thirdly to study the opinion toward the Protection for Motor Vehicle Accident Act B.E. 2535. The population of study were in-patients admitted in the Police hospital from June until September 2004. The sample size was 450. The data collection method was interview with questionnaire guideline. The obtained data were analyzed by using descriptive statistic; percentage, arithmetic mean and correlation statistic by using Chi-Square analysis The research findings were as follows. 1. The knowledge on the Protection for Motor Vehicle Accident Act B.E. 2535 of in-patient of vehicle accident victims in the Police hospital was moderate level. 2. The variables; age, marital status, and type of vehicle accident have no relationship with knowledge level of the Protection for Motor Vehicle Accident Act B.E. 2535. 3. The variables; gender, educational level, occupation, income, place of origin, sources of information, experienced claim, possession occupancy and claim medical care have relationship with knowledge level of the Protection for Motor Vehicle Accident Act B.E. 2535.
