By taking interpretative method 1the author analyses political philosophy in TAO TE CHING scripture in search for the meaning of justice. Even though justice isn’t directly defined in the scripture, the implied meaning of that word can be derived by considering the interactive process between nature, human beings, and political societies. This study shows that justice concerns the idea of human nature. The complete freedom that any individual equally holds in the state of nature deems to be an important end of living. Therefore, human beings in that state are considered as rational and selfish. It s worth noting that this view is similar to the social contract theorists. According to Lao Tzu, selfishness is the delicate love of oneself that results in self - control in the light of pure reasons based on ethics. This makes human beings live in harmony with the original peace in the state of nature. Therefore, the meaning of justice strongly encourages individual in the state of nature to hold freedom. This enables individual to find the meaning of justice of their own. Their meanings relate to the search for /the seeking for justice in the political societies. This view is similar to the views of the ancient Greek political thinkers. Moreover, the political philosophy in the scriptures denies the domination of rules, tradition, rites that are the products of civilization over human beings. This is because that those products are immanent barrier between human beings and justice.
