This research project seeks to explore the relationship between the financial profiles of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore and their respective size and growth levels. Evidence show that high growth SMEs not only use higher amounts of debt to substitute for unavailable equity, but also rely on higher levels of short term debt in pursuit of growth.
