| 總結: | Regional economy constitutes an important integral part of a nation's economy. Its development is of great significance to the nation's economy as a whole. In a nation, economic developments of different regions differ with each other, and it is the duty of national economic development to reduce the difference. At stages of a nation's economic development, we foster and support the economy in some vital regions or areas forming a rapid development of the regional economy, which will produce huge catalysis effect on the balanced development of the nation's entire economy and on the realization of economy entering a new stage. In recent years, China has adopted a series of strategic measures on shortening the economy difference between eastern and western regions, and Chongqing Municipality shows gradually its particular status and function. A succession of crucial events—strategy of western development, Three Gorges Project, establishment of Chongqing Municipality directly under the Central Government—has created a macro-environment for Chongqing as a main center of regional economy development, while Chongqing's economy foundation and its economic achievements in recent years have also formed a base for Chongqing to be a main center of regional economy development. |
