總結: | To produce a robust statistical quality control result, it is important to have a good measurement system for an accurate analysis of the process capability. Therefore, measurement system analysis and process capability study are important parameters in manufacturing industries to validate what is manufactured in order to ensure the product meets the customers’ requirements. Process capability ratios are used to determine the capability of the manufacturing processes, while the precision to tolerance (P/T) ratio and gauge repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) are used to determine the measurement system capability. The measurement system analysis is usually conducted to verify the accuracy of the measuring instrument before the process capability study was carried out. The two-step method is inefficient for the industry. This report proposes a simple and easily understandable graphical representation integrating the P/T ratio, gauge R&R and process capability ratio Cp. The proposed graph uses the ANOVA method and informs on the gauge measurement and process capability directly. Two case studies were presented in this report to show how the graphical representation could be done on datasets. This graphical method could allow faster and more precise decision-making to align the manufacturing process to the customers’ requirements. |
