總結:This research project studies the national technology policy by examining the technological development strategies of Singapore semiconductor industry and the formation of its indigenous firms. A comparison was then made to identify similarity and differences in the path of semiconductor industry development between Singapore and both South Korea as well as Taiwan with reference to the article by Chen and Sewell (1996). Porter Diamond model was then used to discuss some of the key factors such as labour, technological know-how, infrastructure and environment, demand conditions and government support to help one better understand the challenges faced by Singapore semiconductor industry.
