| Summary: | This study aims to determine the development strategy and analyze the
internal and external the factors that support and hinder the development of
marine tourism and conservation in the District of North Pagai. This study by
distributing questionnaires to the preferences they know (tourist and communities)
that will result in a strategy that is used in the development of marine tourism.
The analytical tool used to identify the position of the development of
nautical tourism in the District of North Pagai using SWOT analysis. Data used in
the study consisted of primary and secondary data.
The results using SWOT analysis show the conditions encountered in the
District of Pagai Utara marine tourism development is in an unfavorable position
in which to face a lot of weakness and threats that must be overcome, then the
development of marine tourism can use Weaknesses-Threats Strategy (Quadrant
IV) the defensive strategy, a defensive tactics directed at efforts to minimize
internal weaknesses and avoiding external threats.
