Summary: | Teak (Tectona grandis Linn.f.) is one of the best wood-producing plant with high quality. It�s needed in property industry such as plywood and furniture products. One of teak species which is being investigated and developed is �Jati Unggul Nusantara� (JUN). It�s one of the teak trademarks with prime trait and growing ability that faster than local teak. The objective of this research to was study the genetic variation among 6 samples of teak clone of JUN and teak clone that have been analyzed previously using PCR-RAPD analysis. Six DNA samples of JUN leaves were isolated and amplified using 3 kinds of RAPD primer (OPAK-16, OPY-2 and OPY-14). PCR was carried out to obtain DNA band data. The data was analyzed by MVSP 3.1A. program to construct the dendogram. Result of PCR-RAPD with 3 primers produced 79 loci and it contained 49 polymorphic DNA bands and 30 monomorphic DNA bands. Genetic variation analysis shown that 177 clone samples mostly had high similarity over 84%. Clone 198 has the highest similarity level with clone N 4.10 (91,667%), from 6 samples clone JUN. |
