Summary:The identifications of species in meat products have drawn much interest since these foods become the target of forgery and fraud in the product labeling. As a country whose majority population are Muslim, it certainly concerns regarding the protection of Muslims consumer because it involves the issue of halal food. Hence, an analysis must be done to detect the presence of pork in processed meat products, such as in dendeng product. Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (Real Time PCR) used primer specific species mitochondrial DNA Displacement Loop (D-Loop)686 which was designed specifically to DNA mitochondrial pigs and primer have been published cytochrome b (cytb) gene also carried out to identify specific DNA pig to other four types of DNA species
