Summary:Planning proccess in Coastal Area need to be supported by the community participation. The background of the community as fishers lead to the adequate infrastructure in line with the coastal community�s daily activities and the extreme climate change in recent years. The existing infrastructure in Jayabakti Village, Sampolawa District, Butin District, Southeast Sulawesi Province Community is insufficient to the Coastal Community�s activities. Therefore the coastal area requires an adequate infrastructure. Community participation is important in connection with spatial plan implementation that also occurs in Jayabakti Coastal Area. Participation means the plan was made from the community. So the planning proccess needs to be accompanied by the whole community in Jayabakti Coastal Area. The community participation in coastal area is expected to provide significant changes to the current condition in accordance with the environmental compliance and a lesson learned to the Government as a stakeholder that can be applied in other areas with the same condition as well.
