| الملخص: | The aim of this study was to investigate the level of phosphorus in blood
serum of laying and non laying Magelang ducks. Eight clinically healthy Magelang
ducks (4 laying and 4 non laying ducks) were used in this study. Blood samples
were collected through brachial vein before morning feeding. Serum was separated
by centrifugator (8 minutes at 8000 round per minute). Phosphorus serum was
analyzed using Beckman counter method. The data were analyzed using t-Test. The
results showed that the serum level of phosphorus of non laying ducks was 3,75 ±
0,74 mg/dl, whereas the phosphorus serum level of laying ducks was significantly
higher, 7,72 ± 0,47 mg/dl (P<0.05). Based on the results, it could be concluded that
blood phosphorus level of female adult ducks was influenced by reproduction
status. |
