The use of Article 54 and Article 55 Law No. 35 The year 2009 is a problem that is being faced by those who are given the authority to examine and judge each case of criminal cases related to narcotics. They who was meant above is the Defendants, Lawyers, the Public Prosecutor, and the Panel of Judges. Many lawyers who asked in its defense that the defendants that only as users or drug user to rehabilitated in accordance with the regulation that set in the laws of Narcotics. But in reality in the council of the Public Prosecutor demands that they should pay for criminal charges and the Panel of Judges always gave the Public Prosecutor. With a Field Work practice aimed at as a requirement for graduation from Law School program Diploma 3 in University of Gadjah Mada University and a Law Expert Madya (A.Md.). In addition, Field Work practice will also be able to benefit the writer to know the practices in the court, if it is in accordance with Law Narcotics is made to arrange everything associated with it or even turned out to be very difficult to implement law that has been made. The writer also can apply the knowledge he/she learned in the university. The use of Article 54 and Article 55 Law No. 35 The year 2009 if it is true that will be done by the people who have the authority to examine and judge criminal cases related to narcotics will save users from danger narcotics. The criminal decisions does not guarantee that the defendants could be completely free from narcotics, but with the use of article that can reduce the threats of narcotics. Even in order to support that article in the law narcotics, the Government has given supporting aspects such as The National Narcotics Agency, rehabilitation, and simplified registration arrangement for the defendant who will be rehabilitated.
