الملخص: | The purpose of this study was to (1) analyze the financial and economic
profitability of coconut farming, (2) analyze the competitive and comparative
advantage, (3) analyze the impact of government policies on the coconut in Kupang
Regency. The research method is used as an indicator in analyzing competitiveness is
descriptive method using the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM).
The results showed that (1) coconut farming in Kupang Regency does not
have a competitive advantage seen from the negative value of PP (-2,444,423) and
PCR were greater than one (1.28). But having seen the comparative advantage of the
positive value of SP (4.616 million) and DRCR smaller than one (0.71), (2) the
absence of government policies that protect domestic inputs, causing prices of
domestic inputs issued in private lower than the cost incurred on the domestic price
level of the economy, so the coconut producers gain domestic input cheaper than
social, domestic input producers while obtaining a loss of value of FT (Rp 78.328),
(3) the impact of government policy instruments in the output market this time,
negatively affect coconut prices, since coconut price received by farmers is lower
than the (social price) it should be, as reflected in the value NPCO 0.55 and OT -
7138751, (4) the net impact of government policy instruments and market
mechanism input-output current is less stimulating (incentive) to coconut producers
in Kupang Regency. So the added value of farmers, lower than it should be accepted,
as reflected in the value of EPC 0.55 |
