總結: | In chemical industries, oxidizing agents are widely used in synthesizing or transforming various organic compounds, nevertheless they can be dangerous and harmful to the environment. Therefore, the idea of using oxygen as a green and economic oxidant has been proposed. In this project, polymeric nanoparticle photocatalysts were synthesized from iron-metalloporphyrin incorporating with fluorene and benzothiadiazole units through the Suzuki cross-coupling reaction. The synthesized materials were characterized by several techniques including nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, UV-visible spectroscopy, and fluorescence spectroscopy. The results showed that the polymeric nanoparticles are well constructed and possess good optical and electrochemical properties. Moreover, the preliminary catalytic activity test studied by cyclic voltammetry found that both iron-porphyrin and polymeric nanoparticle catalyst gave enhanced current response in oxygen-saturated solution. In conclusion, this project has demonstrated that the catalysts were synthesized and developed to have the physical and chemical properties suitable for photocatalytic aerobic oxidation reaction. |
